Wipro has an integrated raw material sourcing process for its plants in Europe and India.
Some of the main items purchased and coordinated by our strategic sourcing team are:
- Tubes - DOM / CDS tubes for hydraulic cylinder applications
- Rounds - Medium carbon / micro alloy steel and chrome plated rounds
- Profiles - Medium carbon gas / flame cut
- Castings - Steel / Spheroidal and ferrous graphite
- Forgings - Medium / low carbon, Ring and Open die forgings
- Seals - PTFE / Polyeurathene , phenolic resines, polyamides, nitrile rubber, viton and aramid sealing
- Bearings / Bushes - Spherical bearings, Bi-metallic and Clevis bushes
We are also looking for potential sources for machined components like Pistons, End Covers and Rod eyes for hydraulic cylinders.
