We have a time proven process for efficiently and effectively translating our customers' operating parameters into designs for even the most demanding requirements.
Our hydraulic cylinder design processes are driven by Six Sigma methodologies optimized by analytical and simulation tools like Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Ansys, Creo Simulate, and other mathematical modeling tools. Wipro's process is supported by 3D hydraulic modeling, design and product management tools such as PTC Creo, Windchill PDM, and others.
Through our continuous R&D efforts and over 40 years of experience suppling hydraulic cylinders to the world's best OEMs, we have developed world-class testing and validation capabilities.
Effective verification and validation covers design, material selection, workmanship, application environment, duty cycles, and life expectancy. Operating conditions are created to be identical to (or as close as possible to) the actual machine applications. Custom-designed test rigs are used to validate function, reliability, and life/endurance of our products. Pulse testing, burst testing, back-to-back testing, bell crank testing, steering simulation testing, forklift test simulation, high-temperature testing, drift testing, side-load testing, hydraulic cushion testing, performance testing, and endurance testing are used to test and improve the reliability of the cylinders.
The validation process is not only for new designs, but also part of our continuous improvement process for production cylinders. Wipro has developed and deployed custom-designed test equipment for all of these needs. They help ensure every step in the development process adds integrity to our products - from prototype to series production.
A well-equipped metrology lab supports our testing, manufacturing, and quality control by ensuring periodic calibration of all measuring instruments and gauges. Special measuring instruments include surface finish and roundness testers, electronic and pneumatic comparators, ultrasonic flaw detector and electronic torque analyzers. Magnetic Particle Testing is used for the detection of micro-cracks, and a salt-spray chamber measures corrosion resistance.
